Hi! I am Alyssa
My journey has come full circle. After being in the industry for 6 years, navigating COVID, supporting family members through their own wedding planning journeys, I started to see that the traditional wedding planning options do not work for everyone. The average couple today want to be hands on in their wedding plans, and yet the common feelings among engaged couples are stress, overwhelm, and some FOMO sneaking in there for good measure.
The wedding planning playbook is a product of me having the perspective of two worlds. I’ve produced multi day, six figure events for tented and multicultural events and I come from a middle class background and a 30k wedding budget.
As someone married in 2015 (then event planner in higher ed, not yet wedding planner) I’ve seen the industry shift so much. Instagram in 2015? Not really a thing. Yes pinterest, no tiktok. This program is a fruit of my collective experience and wanting to support the couple today.
Before my life in weddings, I was a formally trained teacher of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and have always been an educator at heart. Supporting people in their story has always been at the heart of what I do.
How did I think of this?
How many memberships and subscriptions do you have? Like, a lot right? We’re talking netflix AND hulu, the gym, maybe the nail salon and so many more.
The membership model has been around for decades, and now I’m bringing it to life in the wedding space .I believe it’s time for an-affordable way to get planning support that packs a punch. Don’t you?
I started noticing that I couldn’t serve or would necessarily be a good fit for all the referrals that came my way. Maybe the date wasn’t available on my calendar. Or the couple’s budget was 15k and could only afford to spend $800. Or, that maid of honor who loved my style is planning a wedding, but lives in Phoenix, not where I live.

This bothered me for a while. So, I started thinking…there had to be a way to serve couples near and far, with every budget in mind.
The other thing I noticed? There is sooo much information out there for couples – and it is overwhelming and stressing them out when it comes to planning their weddings.

Will this program make vendor suggestions?
Our program gives hands-on training into how to find vendors, source rentals, and create a fantastic team, with the insider perspective that -until now - only my clients could access. Not only that, we talk you through the steps after the booking is complete - and when the real communication begins.
Will this program help me find my vendors?
Yes absolutely, though keep in mind, this program doesn’t specifically offer vendor recommendations. We may be able to based on your event, but vendor recommendations are so personal and specific it’s not possible to offer blanket suggestions. We will train you on finding your own vendors that are perfect for you.
Who should join the membership?
This membership is perfect for the engaged couples who are feeling overwhelmed but don’t have direction with planning. They only have a day of coordinator or a family member helping them and they are wishing they had someone who could actually help without hiring a full service planner. The perfect fit is someone who values clear next steps, professional expertise, and community of peers to cheer them on.
I love this idea but I already have a planner. Can I still join?
YES! Some people will join for a few elements of the program, and not everything - and that’s great! Each planner has different zones of expertise and passion - and what this program can uniquely offer is support in a group setting, accountability, a community of peers and professionals, and on demand training and resources that’s just a log-in away.
Will you be there on the wedding day?
I will not. This program is to offer support throughout the planning process, and we can make suggestions on how to find or hire a great person to manage your day.
Does the location of my wedding matter to join this membership?
Our favorite answer ... No! That was the initial inspiration for creating this membership. While 1:1 wedding planning is very much regional, wedding planning as a project is universal. Whether you’re in San Diego or Iowa, we’d love to support and our tools are online 24/7.
I really need 1:1 support, is that an option?
Yes!! You can purchase 1:1 planning calls at any time, either a la carte or in a bundle.
How is this different from the knot and facebook groups?
To that I will answer, how are those places supporting you, giving you clear next steps, and helping with stress?
Not too much, right? The Wedding Planning Playbook, while a group, is PERSONAL. It is tailored to our members and created by a planner for her own clients. This is not someone’s aunt giving you suggestions that they did (who knows if the idea even worked!)
